There will be no pared back looks on or off the piste. Your new slope style should be sleek, sartorial and win you style points. From fluorescent puffer jackets to metallic moon boots, your definitive guide to making the ski resort your runway is here.
ON THE SLOPES
Whether you’re sliding down the nursery slopes or hitting the half pipe, your on-piste look should be snow-ready and super stylish. Men can make a statement in a metallic quilted down jacket with a generous hood to keep the chill at bay. For ladies, black vinyl ski trousers or retro flared salopettes will look glam equally paired with shearling-lined boots.
FOR APRÈS-SKI
Don’t be afraid to glam it up for glühwein, hot buttered rum or toasted marshmallows at the chalet. Layer a fringed cashmere cardigan over a Breton top and finish the look with fitted leopard-print trousers. Or if it’s athleisure-chic you’re after, style an oversized ribbed jumper with logo-print stirrup leggings – look to Fendi and Burberry for inspiration – and chunky lace-up boots with a subtle shimmer; they'll sparkle when you wear them by the fireside.
FOR AFTER DARK
Now is the time to trade in your snow boots for chunky heels you can pound the pavements with. Team dark brown glossy leather boots with leggings and a statement jumper. For an elevated evening look, style a lace-trimmed jumper dress with suede over-the-knee boots: simple but undeniably striking.
THE ACCESSORIES
Ski accessories should be playful but polished, and designed to protect you from the elements. Mirrored ski goggles are non-negotiable, pair them with a tie-dyed cashmere beanie, faux-fur snood and printed knee-length ski socks: this isn’t a look for shrinking violets. Add to your outerwear repertoire with a belted mohair-blend coat in red or burnt orange, it will lift any look effortlessly.
As for arm candy, a drawstring leather backpack will be your go-to daytime accessory, while a quilted leather cross-body bag with a gold chain strap is essential for evenings off-piste.
