Lloyd Shoes GmbH is a manufacturer of both men's and women's shoes. The company was founded in Bremen in 1888 under the name H.F.Meyer Schuhfabrik and has been based in Sulingen, Lower Saxony, since 1942. Over more than 125 years, Lloyd has perfected the production of shoes which are special and valuable in quality, fit and design. There's no mistaking a Lloyd shoe thanks to the trade mark which has adorned the heel of all Lloyd shoes since 1968: the red stripe. Lloyd products are currently exported to more than 40 countries and are available in approx. 3,500 points of sale. An estimated 6,000 pairs of shoes are produced in one working day - a good 2,000 of which are produced in Germany. The Lloyd Shoes GmbH currently employs around 1,2000 workers, 450 in Germany.
